APS of Durham waives adoption fees for dogs, cats before shelter construction starts

DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) -- The Animal Protection Society of Durham is waiving adoption fees for dogs and cats Saturday before construction at the shelter gets underway this week.

The shelter said necessary repairs will start Monday.

Since the process is noisy and dusty, the shelter hopes some of the animals find forever homes before then.

The shelter is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
