Suspect arrested, charged in bar shooting

FAYETTEVILLE Fayetteville Police Sgt. John Somerindyke says officers arrested 24-year-old Carlos Javier Serrano early Sunday morning as he attempted to flee the scene of the incident.

Serrano is charged with first degree murder in the shooting death of 31-year-old Alejandro Gonzalez Reves.

Police say Reves was shot on Sunday shortly after 2 a.m. at the Palomino Night Club on Owen Drive.

The motive for the shooting is not known at this time.

Serrano is currently being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center under no bond.
