Snow flurries blow down on Triangle

Some parts of the Triangle saw cold drizzle change over to snow flurries around mid-afternoon.

There were concerns of flooding Saturday as portions of central and eastern North Carolina were under flood watches and warnings after all the rain Friday.

However, a lot of the water receded by evening.

Raleigh city officials issued a statement warning hikers and bikers near the Greenway Trail of potential standstill water and dangerous debris.

Residential areas like the Brook Hill Apartments on Dana Drive in Raleigh have seen the threat of flooding before. Just last fall, residents evacuated - some were even rescued - after Walnut Creek crested its boundaries.
