Two accused of living in filth

ROCKY MOUNT

The Rocky Mount Police Department says officers were sent to the home of Robert Tritt, 24, and Misty Rose Lynch, 32, at 14 Wildberry Drive to serve existing warrants related to school attendance violations and failure to appear on traffic charges.

When they got there, they say conditions at the home prompted them to contact Animal Control, Environmental Services and the Department of Social Services.

A 6-year-old child was removed from the home.

Tritt was charged with two counts of resisting a public officer, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, cruelty to animals and felony child abuse. His bond was set at $45,000.

Police have not located Lynch. She faces charges of felony child abuse, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and animal cruelty.

If anyone knows the whereabouts of Misty Rose Lynch, they are asked to contact Rocky Mount police at (252) 972-1411 or Crime Stoppers at (252) 977-1111.
