The latest incident happened just after 5 a.m. Tuesday. A Dollar General tractor-trailer ended up in the woods. The driver was not hurt.
There are signs warning drivers that the highway ends. Along I-540, there are cones to guide drivers to the ramp and bright orange barricades at the end of the roadway - which the big rig went through before coming to a rest the woods.
The driver declined an on-camera interview, but said the accident happened because he swerved to avoid a car that was backing up the ramp.
Tuesday's incident is the third at the location. On May 7, a pickup truck ran off the side of the exit and the driver was ejected.
The first incident happened in March. Authorities say a man purposely drove his car through the barracades at the end of the highway. He died in that wreck.
