Detectives provided still images from the video in hopes someone from the public knows who they are.
The video is from a camera in the area of 4900 Raeford Road. The wire was taken around 5 a.m. on May 8.
Copper theft has become a nationwide problem as crooks strip air conditioning units and construction sites for the valuable metal which they then sell to scrap dealers.
The suspects appear to be white males (late teens / early twenties) and appear to be driving a dark colored Chevrolet pick-up. The logo "4x4" is on the rear quarter panel of the truck bed and there is a silver tool box in the truck bed.
Anyone who can identify the men is asked to call Detective S. Arnold at (910) 433-1856 (ext. 1772).
