Family members said Martikia Adams of Raleigh and Brian Cobb of Cary were on their way to Cobb's job at a Cary Jiffy Lube when it happened.

The accident report showed Adams was driving when she attempted to make a left turn from W. Chatham St. onto SW Cary Parkway around 10 a.m. Sunday.

Their Saturn was hit by a Dodge driven by 22-year-old Megan Sladek of Apex.

The report estimates Sladek's speed at 52 in a 45 mph zone. It doesn't show she was able to brake before the impact. Sladek suffered only minor injuries and she was not taken to the hospital.
