Fog hampers some flights at RDU

March 2, 2012 8:10:04 PM PST
Foggy conditions at Raleigh Durham International Airport led officials to divert two flights Friday evening.

Both were American Eagle flights. One diverted to Charlotte. Those passengers will be able to fly back to RDU Saturday. The other diverted flight went to Norfolk, but it was scheduled to return to RDU sometime early Saturday.

Officials also tell ABC11 that a pilot flying into General Aviation missed a turn on the runway and had to get some direction because of the fog.

A dense fog advisory was issued for parts of the area until 2 a.m.
