Authorities tell ABC11 that 22-year-old Jimmy Junior Locklear, of Fayetteville, was driving 100 mph in his 1996 Ford Taurus on Clinton Road when he lost control of his car at Bladen Circle, hit a pipe and mailbox, before slamming into a tree.

Locklear was killed instantly along with his brother,15-year-old Joshua Locklear, and 19-year-old Torey Mosley of Fayetteville.

Mosley's cousin, 20-year-old Jamarkis Harris, of Fayetteville, was ejected from the back seat. He was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center with several broken bones and other injuries.

Harris told authorities the group had been drinking before the accident happened.

"It was heart breaking," said Norma Whitted, a cousin of the Locklear brothers. "There were no words that I could say at the time and I just explained to my kids the best that I could that, you know, this is what happens if you're out and you're doing the wrong thing or whatever."

Locklear's father told ABC11 that Joshua was a student at Cape Fear High School. He declined to comment further.
