Investigators said it happened around 1:15 a.m. on Stoney Point Road near the Strickland Bridge Road intersection.
The bike driven by 28-year-old Dennis Trujillo left the road and struck railroad tracks before the rider was thrown.
Trujillo - who lived in Hope Mills - was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center where he later died.
