Second arrest made in Durham double shooting

Police say Christopher Taylor Johnson, 25, of Durham, has been arrested and charged with two counts of attempted murder.

He was arrested Tuesday afternoon on North Hyde Park Avenue. Johnson has been placed in the Durham County Jail under a $5 million bond.

Thomas Deangelo Griffin, 19, is charged with two counts of attempted murder. His bond was set at $1 million.

The shooting happened at a vacant home on Grace Lane last week. The victims are aged 14 and 16.

One of the boys walked wounded down the block and flagged down a Durham County senior citizen transit bus and pleaded for help from the driver.

ABC11 learned the 14 year old was shot multiple times.

Durham Police have yet to publicly identify the teens. Both victims remain hospitalized in stable condition.

The investigation is still ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call Cpl. K. Johnson at (919) 560-4281, ext. 29118 or CrimeStoppers at (919) 683-1200. CrimeStoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to arrests in felony cases and callers never have to identify themselves.
