Airport officials announced Thursday that they won't be ready by the original opening date of March 2.
They are blaming the delay on cold temperatures which has made it tough to complete the pavement for the terminal's aircraft parking area.
RDU staffers say they haven't figure out when the terminal will be ready to open.
They hope to announce a new opening date early next month.
