FRIENDSWOOD, Texas

At about 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4, a witness reported two men stealing from a construction site. The witness followed the vehicle as the suspects headed toward when they were stopped by police.

Police say the suspects were pulling a trailer that contained stolen rebar pipes and hurricane fencing.

Dean Allen Stevens, 23, and Matthew Dwayne Coleman, 30, were charged with theft.

Police say Stevens has two prior convictions for theft, so his bond was set at $30,000. Coleman, who was wearing a Cookie Monster onesie at the time of his arrest, was given a $1,500 bond.
