Bank robbery suspect sought in Princeton

PRINCETON, N.C. (WTVD) -- Authorities in Johnston County are on the lookout for a bank robbery suspect.



The incident happened at a BB&T branch in the 100-block of North Pine Street in Princeton Thursday at 9:42 a.m.



Police said the suspect pointed a handgun at one of the offices in the bank and fired one round. He then ordered everyone to get on the floor and demanded money.



The suspect was described as a black male, 6 foot tall, wearing a black ski mask, with a black ball cap (with a green symbol on the front and side), a black hooded sweater with a gray inseam, light colored blue jeans, and black gloves.



He got away with more than $5,700.



The suspect fled in a 1999 to 2002 silver Chevy Tahoe with after-market 22" chrome wheels, and tinted windows.



Princeton High School and Elementary School were ordered to be on lockdown because of the robbery.
