Rezoning debate in Wake County
Bobby Murray Chevrolet is looking to move to Wake Forest, concerning residents

WAKE FOREST, N.C. (WTVD) -- Dozens of homeowners attended a meeting in Wake Forest on Tuesday night about the possible relocation of a popular car dealership.

Bobby Murray Chevrolet is looking to relocate from its Capital Boulevard location inside the beltline to a spot nine miles away, just north of I-540.

The new location being scouted is where the Capital Golf Center driving range is currently. The dealership would drive that business right out.

Homeowners in the neighboring Shearon Farms development are trying to put the brakes on the dealership's plan to connect a road that would allow trucks delivering vehicles through their community.

The Wake Forest Commissioner's meeting took place 7 p.m. on Tuesday. This issue makes an appearance twice on the agenda.
