Electric bike tour begins in Raleigh
A new kind of bike tour kicks off on Saturday in Raleigh

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- For the first time ever, you can take a tour around Raleigh on a very special high-end electric bike.

Some argue it's the very best way to see the capital city. ABC11's Anna Laurel went on the bike ride and found that it's something anyone can do, ages 14-94.

With an electric bike, the bike's doing all the hard work.

Todd and Sandy Masinter have taken people on tours around Raleigh on segways for years, but for the first time on Saturday, they'll do it on electric "Go Cycles."

In fact, they're the only outfit in the country using these high end electric bikes.

The Raleigh historic tour is 8.5 miles, an easy 90 minutes on a bike with a small motor on the front wheel. The motor gives you an extra boost when you need it.

The tours range from $55-$65.
