Fans endure traffic, severe weather for Beyonce concert
Fans endure weather, delays, traffic to see Beyonce.

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Beyonce fans endured a severe storm threat and crushing traffic jams to get to Carter-Finley Stadium on Tuesday night, only to have heavy rain and lightning put a painful halt to Beyonce's show.

The Queen Bey had to suspend the show amid much confusion about whether to show could continue or not as fans and officials waited for the lightning to pass. N.C. State officials said Beyonce would be back on stage at 11:20 p.m.

"Rain or shine Beyonce is going to perform," said fan Allison Trottier.

About the time, the show did indeed resume.

Fans were told to go back to their cars or over to PNC Arena or to N.C. State's practice field for cover.

Emanuel Williams teased his girlfriend, Alex Salvaggo, saying she was upset thinking the weather would cancel the show.

"She was crying on the way here," Williams said. "She was pretty emotional."

A lot of fans already did this as they braved through bad weather before the concert as well.
