Grammy-winning artist John Legend sings at Raleigh wedding reception
RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Grammy-winning artist John Legend performed at a Raleigh couple's wedding reception at the City Club of Raleigh on Saturday.
He sang his hit song "All of Me" for the first dance of Cindy Glass and Allen White.
"When that song came out, we said we don't have a song, and we said that's our song. And when we get married we said we'll play that song," they said.
Legend played his own piano at the reception.
Glass and White entered a contest for the private performance by donating to Legend's charity.
Saturday was the first time they met him and they said he was "very gracious."
They introduced him to their guests and he took it from there.
"It was a beautiful setting and everyone was so happy. It was such a happy moment, I think he must have walked in to it and felt so at ease," said Glass.
He played three songs before leaving the reception.
