Local football team needs your help to play in championship game

DURHAM (WTVD) -- You helped them last year and now the Durham Titans need your help again getting to the national title game in Orlando.
The John Avery Boys and Girls Club 15 and under football team has earned a number 3 national ranking to compete for the AYF (American Youth Football) National Title Dec. 6-13.
"This team has overcome some mountains from homelessness to domestic violence to gang affiliation. They've overcome a lot. So to be here in the position to be able to travel once again, we really appreciate the support of the community. The kids need you and they greatly appreciate it," said Titans President Greg Greene.
The team needs to raise $20,000 so players and coaches can travel to nationals.
