Raleigh police have charged a man with a DWI after a crash early Saturday morning.

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Raleigh police have charged a man with a DWI after a crash early Saturday morning.

It happened shortly before 3:40 a.m. in the 6300 block of Buffaloe Road.

Police say 40-year-old Luis Servin was driving a 2008 Chevrolet pickup truck when he lost control of the vehicle, which left the roadway and eventually struck a row of trees and an embankment.

Servin was transported to WakeMed with what were believed to be serious injuries.

He was charged with driving while impaired, having no operator's license, failing to maintain a travel lane and not wearing a seat belt.

Buffaloe Road was closed for approximately three hours while police investigated, but has since reopened.
