Spring is here and that means it's time to get the lawn ready. It's one of the many do-it-yourself workshops the home improvement store offers on weekends.

And, it's all about science for the next two weeks. The the NC Science Festival kicks off this weekend with events all across the state. Events include lab tours and nature experiences like weekend star parties at locations like Umstead Park, American Tobacco Trail and Falls Lake.
And, if a road trip is in your spring plans, you may want to put a National Park as a place to stop.
National Park Week is April 16 to 24, and, to celebrate, all National Park Service sites that charge an entrance fee will offer free admission to everyone for the entire week, including the Wright Brothers National Memorial in the Outer Banks.
