GREENSBORO (WTVD) -- Greensboro police are searching for a man in connection with the fatal shooting of a 5-year-old boy.
It happened Friday night on Waugh Street, WGHP reports.
Police have issued a first-degree murder warrant against 22-year-old Murad Anthony Weaver.
The boy was taken to the hospital where he died, according to police.
The victim's mother, Demetrius Harris, believes the shooting was an accident.
Weaver, the suspect, is the victim's older brother.
Harris says Weaver shot out of anger but didn't mean to hurt anyone. She is asking Weaver to come home and turn himself in to police.
"I miss you," Harris said, in hopes that Weaver would hear her message. "I love you. I forgive you. I don't hate you. I want you to come home. I'll come and turn yourself in with you. I know you didn't mean to do it and I love you. Just call me and come home."
