Man sought for manufacturing meth arrested in Cumberland County
STEDMAN, N.C. (WTVD) -- A Stedman man sought for manufacturing methamphetamine was arrested in Cumberland County Thursday.
Authorities had been searching for 32-year-old Joseph Allen Timpe since in mid-July after a drug lab was found at his house.
On July 16, Cumberland County Sheriff's deputies, members of the State Bureau of Investigation and North Carolina Probation and Parole Office raided his Stedman home in the 8300 block of Clinton Road and discovered a large scale laboratory inside a separate building near the house that was capable of producing large amounts of meth, according to officials.
Timpe is charged with manufacturing meth, possession of precursor chemicals and maintaining a dwelling to sell and deliver meth. He could face additional charges.
Timpe is currently being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $35,000 bond.
