Raleigh bank robbery suspect charged

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Raleigh police have charged Wilbert Lewis Davis, Jr., 44, with common-law robbery in connection with a bank robbery Friday.

Officials said it happened around 12:40 p.m. at the First Citizens bank in the 4800 Capital Boulevard.

Police said a tip from media coverage led to Davis being identified as a suspect in the case.

Davis was taken into custody and then moved to the Wake County Detention Center.
