A Wake County man is charged with intentionally starting an apartment fire.

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Raleigh firefighters responded to an apartment fire on Sunday that was allegedly started intentionally.

It happened at 1201 S. East Street around 11:30.

Raleigh police took Rodriguz Garciea McKoy into custody on the scene. He has been charged with burning personal property.

It is unclear why the fire was started. Police said no one was injured.
