RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Raleigh police have arrested three teens allegedly behind a string of home break-ins in southwest Raleigh.

Warrants show that during the day on Jan. 12, officers believe 17-year-old Sedarius Edwards and a 15-year-old juvenile broke into five homes on or near High Lake Court. Police said they kicked in the back doors, grabbing laptops, an i-Pad, and seven firearms.

Police say 17-year-old Isaiah Smith broke into one home and stole a laptop.

A few days after the burglaries, neighbors reported seeing suspicious people walking behind houses in the area.

Officer soon stopped and questioned Edwards and Smith, who both enrolled as sophomores at Athens Drive High School earlier this year.

Search warrants show Edwards had a picture on his cell phone of what appeared to be two of the stolen firearms.

Police arrested both teens and the juvenile in late January. On Feb. 5, Edwards was still in the Wake County Detention Center under an $115,000 bond. He's charged with five counts of breaking and entering, four counts of larceny after breaking and entering and seven counts of larceny of firearms.

Police said the juvenile will face the same charges.
