Two people in the hospital after Johnston County wreck

JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- Two people are in the hospital after a serious crash in Johnston County early Wednesday morning.

It happened on Drag Strip Road near Highway 242, south of Benson.

Eyewitnesses say the vehicle crashed and burst into flames.

Two people inside escaped and were taken to WakeMed Trauma Center.
