Police say intoxicated man hit seven in Durham

DURHAM, North Carolina (WTVD) -- Seven people were hit by a car in Durham around 2:45 a.m. Sunday morning, said authorities.

It happened near a parking lot of "La Luna" nightclub located in the 3000 block of Auto Drive.

Police said that a crowd was standing outside when 23-year-old Hugo Romero-Robles drove into them and drove away.

According to police, two of the seven people hit were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Authorities said that Romero-Robles was intoxicated. He has been charged with DWI and a hit and run felony.

Romero-Robles is due in court Monday Morning.
