POLKTON, NC (WTVD) -- NC Department of Public Safety and local law enforcement officers are searching for a prisoner who apparently climbed a fence at a minimum-security facility and got away.
It happened at the Brown Creek Correctional Institution in Polkton, North Carolina. That's between Fayetteville and Charlotte south of the Uwharrie National Forest.
Kristopher McNeil, 29, was serving a 14-year sentence for second-degree murder. He was scheduled for release in 2018.
