Woman seriously injured after getting hit by car on Poole Road, police say

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- A woman was seriously hurt Tuesday morning after getting hit by a car in Raleigh.

Eyewitness News was there just after midnight as police investigated near the Beltline.

Raleigh police said the victim was rushed to the hospital and is listed in critical condition.

The driver involved did stay on scene. There were no signs of impairment, authorities confirmed. No charges were filed.

Poole Road was shut down for several hours and is now back open.
