Police make arrest in shooting, 9 robberies
Authorities have charged 32-year-old Joshua William Bower and 23-year-old Johnathan Lee Joyner in connection to the shooting on Courtney Lane Monday night.

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Raleigh police say a tip from the public helped them make arrests in a string of robberies, and a shooting Monday that injured a woman and 10-month-old girl.

Authorities have charged 32-year-old Joshua William Bower and 23-year-old Johnathan Lee Joyner in connection with the shooting Monday night at the Courtney Place Apartments off Louisburg Road.

Bower and Joyner also face robbery and kidnapping charges.

The robberies, more than half a dozen, happened within the past month.

The most recent happened Thursday at the Food Lion on Grove Barton Road.

A third man, 23-year-old Darius Stephon Herring, was charged with conspiracy in connection with three of the robberies.
