RIVER RESCUE



First responders in Massachusetts had to pull a woman from her partially submerged car after it fell off the side of a bridge and into a river on Monday.



The car then drifted down-river in a brisk current.



Rescue workers had to move quickly and carefully to get her out.



Crews in special suits, tethered by ropes, ventured into the chilly waters, pulled the driver from her car.



The woman was alert and communicating with crews during the rescue.



OFFICER DRAGGED



A police officer had a frightening face-off between two suspected thieves outside a Target store in Gig Harbor, Washington this week.



One of the suspects surrendered, but as the officer tried to pull the other out of the car, and the driver puts the car into reverse and floors the gas, dragging the officer.



Fortunately, the car hit a parked SUV and stopped, giving the officer time take control and pull the guy out.



The officer suffered a minor head injury.



BUCKS EAT PUMPKINS



Two pumpkin thieves were caught on a home surveillance camera in Little Falls, New Jersey.



On Sunday morning, the homeowners noticed their pumpkins had been eaten on their front lawn.



When they looked at their surveillance video, they found the culprits - two 6-point bucks! The deer came back the next night to finish up the pumpkins.



SANTA SLIP AND SLIDE
