Fayetteville police investigating sexual assault

FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- Fayetteville police are looking for a suspect in an early morning sexual assault on Tuesday.



They said it happened around 4 a.m. in the area of Person Street and Eastern Boulevard.



Authorities said the victim was walking along Person Street when she was approached by the suspect. He forced the victim into a wooded area and sexually assaulted her before leaving on foot.



He was described as a black male around 6 feet tall, medium build, and wearing a black hoody and blue jeans.
