DURHAM (WTVD) -- Heavy construction equipment was unleashed Monday on the Finch-Yeager Building at Duke's Wallace Wade Stadium.

The demolition of the building which served as the Sports Medicine center and press box makes way for a new state-of-the-art facility.

Duke is in the middle of a $100 million 2-year renovation of the 85-year-old Wallace Wade that also includes the lowering of the field, the removal of the track, lowering of the stands, and a new scoreboard.

The field should be complete by the time the 2015 season kicks off. The entire project should be done by the 2016 season.
