The unclaimed ticket was purchased for the Sept. 2, 2008 lottery drawing that expires on March 2. The ticket holder has until 5 p.m. that day to claim the prize.
The numbers for that drawing were 5, 9, 17, 23 and 35.
If the prize remains unclaimed, the state lottery will give half of the money to the education fund, and the other half will go back into prizes for future games.
Lottery spokeswoman Alice Garland says since the lottery started in March 2006, more than $65 million worth of prizes have gone unclaimed.
