Downed traffic signals cause major delays

RALEIGH Crews repaired the signals and traffic returned to normal just after 11 a.m.

According to the Raleigh Police Department, the signals at the intersection of the I-440 ramp and Wake Forest Rd. fell.

Officials on the scene told Eyewitness News the lights were recently replaced and a damaged bolt caused the them to fall.

Traffic in both directions of Wake Forest Road was temporarily detoured while repair crews worked.
