Police say he struck another vehicle on Sunday around 6:17 p.m. It happened on Yadkin Road near York Road.
According to police, Watson lost control of his car and struck another vehicle driven by 24-year-old Carmen Elizabeth Oliver of Fayetteville. Watson's car hit a sign support. Three other passengers were riding in his vehicle.
There are no additional updates on the condition of the passengers who were riding with Watson.
Oliver was treated and released from the hospital Sunday.
Police are still investigating the crash and say speed was a factor. No charges have been filed.
