Durham police say the first crime was a robbery that happened on north Guthrie Avenue around 8 p.m. Fifteen minutes later there was a another robbery on north Driver Street.
An hour after those crimes, there was a deadly home invasion on south Alston Avenue.
In each case, the suspects were described as four Hispanic males in a large burgundy or dark colored sedan similar to a Mercury Grand Marquis.
During the Guthrie Ave. robbery, one person was shot and a second was pistol whipped. Fifteen minutes later a third victim was beaten and robbed on north Driver St. The final crime happened at 9:30 at a south Alston St. apartment.
Police say the suspects invaded the apartment and shot 29-year-old Jose Alfredo Gonzales Medrano. He died late Sunday.
