Amber Alert child returned safe

AUTRYVILLE, NC They've now charged 31-year-old Jose Ramon Torres-Ventura of 55 Calico Lane, Autryville with assault and communicating threats.

Deputies say Ventura assaulted his pregnant domestic partner Monday night and left the home with his son Marlon Ramon Torres.

The woman was treated and released from the Sampson Regional Medical Center.

Investigators say Ventura returned to the home at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday with the boy and was taken into custody.
