Man charged with murder in DWI crash

A man who is accused of causing a fatal DWI crash that killed an ECU graduate is now charged with second-degree murder.Raleigh police say 33-year-old Cory Lamar Henderson was driving the car that hit a vehicle carrying 29-year-old John "Eddie" Ogburn and two passengers. The passengers survived.

Police said Ogburn was attempting to make a left turn onto Zachary Brooke Lane from Old Wake Forest Road around 2 a.m. Saturday, when Henderson passed Ogburn on the left and ran into his car.

A funeral service for Ogburn will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Brown-Wynne Funeral Home on East Millbrook Road in Raleigh.

According to a memorial Facebook page, Ogburn will be buried next to his father at Raleigh Memorial on Glenwood Ave.
