Man killed in hit and run identified

FAYETTEVILLE Police said 63-year-old Carson Harrell was hit in the 300 block of North Eastern Blvd. just before 8:45 p.m.

Harrell - who police describe as homeless - was found lying in the roadway when officers arrived. He was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Police have not said if they have a description of the vehicle that hit him or any possible suspects.
