Former Army surgeon may get new murder trial

FORT BRAGG

Jeffrey MacDonald is serving three life terms for killing his pregnant wife and two children. He has always said he is innocent, claiming that four drug crazed hippies knocked him out and murdered his family on post in 1970.

Now, DNA evidence could win him a new trial.

A federal appeals court in Virginia is holding a hearing Tuesday.

The MacDonald murders spawned a book and a TV mini-series called "Fatal Vision."
