Mostly regular post office hours tax day

RALEIGH

The US Postal Service says practically no post offices in the Triangle will stay open late to sell you stamps on April 15, and only one office in Raleigh will taking stamped returns until midnight.

The Raleigh Main Post Office at Westgate Station, 1 Floretta Place, will be open for retail business until 6 p.m. and will accept completed and stamped tax returns until 12 midnight - all other offices will be open regular business hours.

The Postal Service didn't keep offices open late last year either. It says budget cuts, and the fact that most Americans now file online, are the reason.
