The Wake County sheriff's department tells ABC11 that the wounded victim is a male and was taken to Wake Med for treatment. His condition is not known at this time.
Deputies say three people were in the house at the time of the shooting. The third person involved is being interviewed by the authorities.
The shooting is being investigated as a homicide, but investigators say they are not looking for anyone at this time. Neighbors have also been told by authorities not to be concerned.
None of the victims have been named and no arrests have been reported.
