NC State's chancellor is sharing how the university will be affected by North Carolina's impending budget crisis.In a video that is posted on the university's website, Chancellor Randy Woodson explains how he is working to prepare State for as much as $80 million in funding cuts.
Click here to view the chancellor's message He says the amount is so large that he cannot wait for the final outcome of the legislative budget talks. So, NC State will restructure its operations, hoping to minimize employee impact.
Woodson says in his message that jobs will likely be cut, but he does not know yet how many or from which departments.
A final plan should be in place by mid-March.
