For entertainment purposes only, Allstate insurance released which zodiac signs were the safest and which were the worst drivers.
It was supposed to be light-hearted look at a link between car accidents and astrology. But the Chicago Tribune reports it has turned into a public relations nightmare and the company has apologized.
The study rated Virgos the worst drivers. Scorpios were the safest last year with the fewest car accidents.
Allstate wants to set the record straight. It says astrological signs have absolutely no role in how they base coverage or set rates.
Below is a breakdown by zodiac sign of the best and worst drivers.
The list includes the “new” sign, Ophiuchus; and, yes, the dates have been scrambled. The number of claims to the company is listed.
Virgo (Sept. 16-Oct. 30): worried, shy; 2,340 claims.

Libra (Oct. 31-Nov. 22): cooper ative, gracious; 1,268 claims.
