Twenty-one-year-old Crystal Gigliotti was found murdered in her apartment on Newby Drive Wednesday.
Gigliotti's 3-year-old son Gabriel was found unharmed in the home.
Now, Silvestre Alvarad Chaves, 25, of Liberty Street has been arrested and charged with murder. Chaves was arrested in Memphis, Tennessee on unrelated charges. Police say Chaves is not the father of the 3-year-old.
Gigliotti graduated from Northern High School. Her funeral was being held Monday afternoon.
The family has set up a fund for 3-year-old Gabriel at Wachovia Bank.
