Wake Forest police are seeking the public's help in finding the driver of a sports car who struck a car driven by a pregnant woman then sped away.

It happened Thursday at the intersection of Heritage Lake and the NC 98 bypass.

The sports car is a red Corvette convertible and police believe it has some black paint on it that was transferred during the impact.

Three vehicles were involved in the wreck.

According to police, the Corvette was turning right onto the bypass when it hit a black Nissan Maxima driven by a pregnant woman.

The impact caused the Maxima to cross the median and hit another car head-on. The woman was taken to WakeMed where she was treated and released for minor injuries.

The driver of the Corvette is described as a man with dirty blond hair.

Police are asking area body shops to be on the lookout for a car with significant damage to the driver's door and rear quarter panel.

Anyone with information should contact police.
