Police: Man peeped at customers in tanning salon

SMITHFIELD

According to court documents, Northie McArtan, Jr. didn't just peep once. The most recent charge for secret peeping was for an alleged incident at his wife's tanning salon.

ABC11 Eyewitness News caught up with McArton Wednesday evening.

When asked about the warrants, which say he has peeped twice, McArtan's wife replied, "Talk to our lawyer."

Police say the Smithfield man peeped at customers several weeks ago and then tried to fondle a woman while she tanned.

McArtan allegedly he tried to peep a second time and was charged Tuesday.

He didn't want to answer any of ABC11's questions, but his wife said, "We just come home from church. The truth will come out."

ABC11 also reached out to one of the victims, who said she does not want to talk about the case at this time.

McArtan is facing multiple charges including two counts of sexual battery.
