HARNETT COUNTY --
A local grocery store chain is having to temporarily lay off over 100 employees as it works to repair storm damage to one of its distribution centers.Food Lion's Dunn distribution center on Arrowhead Road was forced to close after a tornado struck it in April.
Since then, most of the store's employees have returned to work, but the company says it will temporarily have to lay off 139 workers, because some repairs to the building may not be completed until next year.
Food Lion announced the layoffs in a notice filed Friday with the N.C. Department of Commerce.
